Important Message to Customers
This section explains the names and functions of the buttons, lamps, etc. on the camera.
Lights when shooting is possible.
Some lighting statuses show that it is not possible to shoot. Refer to the following and check the status of the camera.
Lit in blue: Shooting is possible.
Flashing in blue: The camera is starting up.
Flashing in red: An error has occurred in the camera. The lamp also flashes in red during the power-off process of the camera.
Lit in green: The self-timer function can be used for shooting.
Flashing in green: The self-timer is in operation or the Time Shift shooting function is turned on.
Unlit: Shooting is not possible as the camera is in the sleep mode, no more images can be captured, or no more recordable time remains. The lamp is also unlit during shooting.
Shoots a still image or video when pressed.
In the video shooting mode, press this button at the start and end of shooting.
Displays the shooting information, battery level, etc.
In the still image shooting mode or video shooting mode: Switches the shooting function between the normal shooting and the self-timer shooting.
On the selection screen: Functions as the “OK” button.
Switches the shooting mode between the still image shooting mode and the video shooting mode.
On the selection screen: Functions as the “Cancel” button.

Caution
Indicates the power status.
Lit in blue: The power is on.
Lit in green: The battery is being charged via a USB cable.
Flashing in green: The battery cannot be charged via a USB cable. (This includes when a USB cable is connected without the battery in the camera.)
Flashing in red: The power is turning off. The lamp also flashes when the camera is too hot.
Unlit: Charging is complete, the camera is in the sleep mode, or the power is off.
Turns the power on and off or puts the camera to the sleep mode.
When pressed while the power is off: Turns the power on.
When pressed while the power is on: Puts the camera to the sleep mode.
When pressed in the sleep mode: Cancels the sleep mode.
When pressed and held for 2 seconds while the power is on: Turns the power off.
When pressed and held for 7 seconds while the power is on: Turns the power off forcibly.
Switches the wireless LAN function between the client mode, the access point mode, and off when pressed briefly.
Turns the Bluetooth® function on and off when pressed and held.
Used to connect the camera to a computer via the provided USB cable to charge the battery.
The OLED panel displays the following information.
The Bluetooth® Classic function is on.
The camera is connected to a device with Bluetooth® Classic.
The wireless LAN function is on in the client mode. The icon flashes while searching for devices.
The wireless LAN function is on in the access point mode. The icon flashes while searching for devices.
A USB-Ethernet adapter is used.
The camera is in the access point mode or not connected to ricoh360.com. (There are images waiting to be uploaded.)
The camera is in the access point mode or not connected to ricoh360.com. (There are no images waiting to be uploaded.)
The camera is connected to ricoh360.com in the client mode and on standby. (There are no images waiting to be uploaded.)

Attach the provided strap to the camera.
1. Pass the thin part of the strap through the strap lug on the camera.
2. Pass the other end of the strap through the loop of the thin part, and then tighten it.
When charging of the battery is complete, turn on the power of the camera.
1. Press the power button.
The OLED panel turns on.
When the button is pressed while the power is off: Turns the power on.
When the button is pressed while the power is on: Puts the camera to the sleep mode.
When the button is pressed in the sleep mode: Cancels the sleep mode.
When the button is pressed and held for 2 seconds while the power is on: Turns the power off.
When the button is pressed and held for 7 seconds while the power is on: Turns the power off forcibly.
The power status can be checked with the power lamp.

Install the RICOH360 app for smartphones
To use RICOH360, you first need to sign up for a RICOH360 account.
* Accounts created with RICOH 360 can also be used with RICOH360 Tours.
Also, accounts created with RICOH 360 Tours can also be used with RICOH360, so if you have already created an account with RICOH360 Tours, there is no need to create an account here.
* When using the service, please read and agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you cannot use this service. Please understand in advance.
By connecting your smartphone to your camera, you can control your camera from your smartphone.
1. Turn on the camera.
2. If the access point mode icon is notanimated on the camera display panel, press the wireless button.
3. Open the RICOH360 app and log in.
4. Tap the THETA icon displayed at the bottom ofthe screen.
5. Tap the Register button.
6. Tap RICOH360 THETA A1.
When “Pairing the camera and device” isdisplayed, select the last 8 digits of the serial number of the camera you wantto connect.
If the serial number is not displayed, tap Enterthe Serial Number and enter the serial number.
7. When “RICOH THETA has been discovered” isdisplayed, tap Connect.
8. When the dialog box appears, tap Connectand wait for a moment.
When the following screen appears, thecamera and smartphone have been linked.
To take a photo with the linked camera, tapTake Photo.

The following settings enable automaticuploads to the RICOH360 Cloud.
You can operate the THETA connected using the RICOH360 app.
1. Tap the THETA icon at the bottom of the app screen.
2. Select the THETA device to be used for room shooting from the list of authorized RICOH THETA devices.
If this is your first time connecting the THETA and the RICOH360 App, tap Register.
If the authorization permissions required to connect the THETA device to your smartphone are not displayed in the Wireless LAN Connect Settings, the following display settings will appear at the bottom of the screen. A white check mark indicates insufficient authorization. Tap the white check mark to access the Settings screen and adjust the permissions.
If all permissions are set, this message will not appear.
Note: The above screen is from the iOS version.
When all permissions have been set, tap Done.
3. Tap the screen to take a picture.
The shooting screen will open.
If the camera is in still imageshooting mode, the application will display the still image shooting screen, and the camera symbol (green dotted line) at the top ofthe screen will change to a solid white icon, asshown in the screenshot above.
When the camera is in video recordingmode, the applicationwill switch to video recording mode screen. The video camera symbol will change from anoutline to a solidwhite icon.
Image Shooting mode can be toggled in the bottom sheet at the bottom of the screen by tapping [Normal Shooting], which appears in the upper right corner of the frame where Live View is displayed.
When the shooting screen is displayed on the RICOH360 app, the thumbnail of the latest image in the camera is displayed to the left of the shutter button at the bottom of the shooting screen. For still images (in JPEG format), tapping the thumbnail will switch the screen to a 360-degree view.
For videos, the thumbnail is displayed, but tapping it does not switch the screen to a 360-degree view. For how to view videos, refer to this page.
Operation buttons on the 360-degree view screen:
Zooms out the image.
Zooms in the image.
Rotates the image automatically. The viewpoint moves to the right without having to swipe the screen.
Returns the viewpoint to its initial position. The center of the lens on the side ofthe camera without the shutter button is the initial viewpoint for the image.
Save and transfer buttons at the top right of the 360-degree view screen:
Transfers the image to the app.
Saves the image to the library on your smartphone.
Delete button at the bottom left of the 360-degree view screen:
Deletes the image from the camera.
*The maximum file size of videos that can be transferred from RICOH360 THETA A1 to the RICOH360 App is 1.999 GB per file.
Utilice la aplicación RICOH360 para transferir las imágenes de la THETA a su smartphone.
1. Pulse [Seleccionar].

1.Tap “Photos/Videos” at the bottom of the screen.
2.Tap DEVICE among THETA / DEVICE / CLOUD at the top of the screen
3.Tap the thumbnail of the photos you want to view from the list of thumbnails stored on the device.
The above operation will switch to 360-degree view mode (the viewpoint can be changed by swiping the screen).
Zoom in/out, etc. can be done with each button under the viewer.

Auto Rotate (Tap to move the viewpoint to the right without swiping the screen)
Return to the initial viewpoint (the center of the lens on the side without the shutter release button on the THETA unit becomes the initial viewpoint of the photos).
When viewing Video, a slide bar and audio ON / OFF are displayed below each button.
Tap the … symbol in the lower right corner to display a toggle to turn Top/bottom correction ON or OFF for the Video being played. The default setting is Top/bottom correction ON, and the ON/OFF setting is applied to all Videos on the Device tab.
*If you download a Video to your Smartphone Library with this toggle turned on, Top/bottom correction will not be applied to the downloaded Video.
Upload Images Transferred from THETA to Smartphone to Cloud.
Tap "Photos/Videos" at the bottom of the screen
Tap Select
Tap the thumbnail of the photos you wish to upload
*Multiple selections are possible. However, if the selected photos contain RAW data, they cannot be uploaded. Please select only JPEG data, not including RAW data.
The thumbnail of the photos uploaded to RICOH360 Cloud will display an "uploaded icon" in the lower right corner.
Uploaded images can be viewed from the “Cloud” tab under “Photos/Videos”.
Share the URL of the Created image
1. Open the RICOH360 application and Log in
2. Tap ≡ in the upper left corner of the screen , then Select Teams
3. Tap the Photo/Video icon **** at the bottom of the screen.
4. Tap Cloud in THETA / Devices / Cloud at the top of the screen.
You can Share Link in two ways

1. Tap Select
2. From the thumbnail list, tap the image(s) you wish to Share Link to (*Multiple selections are not allowed).
3. Tap Share Link the list displayed at the bottom of the screen.
The link (URL) will be copied to the clipboard.

1. Tap a thumbnail
2. Tap the icon in the upper right corner of the viewer (image detail screen)
3. Tap Share Link from the list displayed at the bottom of the screen. The link (URL) will be copied to the clipboard, and you can paste it anywhere you need (browser, e-mail, etc.).
