Updating the Camera Firmware from the Computer

Installing the App for Computer

1. When a memory card is inserted in the camera, turn off the power of the camera, and then remove the memory card.

2. Start the basic app for computer.

3. Select [File] → [Firmware Update] in the menu.

4. Follow the instructions in the basic app for computer to connect the camera to the computer using the provided USB cable.

5. Click [To next].

6. Check the current version and latest version, and then click [To next].

The firmware is transferred to the camera, and the update starts.

When the update is completed, the camera restarts.

7. When the message “Update complete” is displayed on the LCD panel of the camera, remove the USB cable from the camera and computer.

Caution

• Insert the USB cable securely all the way when connecting it.
• Do not disconnect the USB cable from the camera and computer while transferring the firmware.
• When the storage space of the camera internal memory is insufficient, you may not be able to download the firmware. Secure the storage space of about 3 GB in the camera internal memory before updating the firmware. To check the free storage space in the camera internal memory, remove the memory card from the camera, and then connect the camera to the computer with a USB cable.
