Changing the Wi-Fi frequency band
This function is available on the following models:
RICOH THETA Z1, RICOH THETA X, RICOH THETA V, RICOH360 THETA A1
You can change the frequency band of the wireless LAN used when connecting the camera to a smartphone in the AP (access point) mode. By changing the frequency band from 2.4 GHz to 5 GHz, the transfer speed for large images saved on the camera will improve.
Only for the RICOH360 THETA A1, you can set the frequency band used for both the AP andCL (client) modes.
CAUTION:
- The use of 5GHz is prohibited outdoors in some countries and regions. Please use it in accordance with the laws of the country or region in which it is used.
- The changed frequency band becomes effective when the wireless LAN function is turned onnext time.
Follow the steps below to change the frequency band.
1. Tap [THETA] at the bottom of the screen of the RICO H360 app.
2. Tap the camera you want to connect to in the list of registered cameras.
3. Turn onthe power of the camera.
4. Tap [Wi-Fi frequency band] in “Connection settings”.

The camera is connected to the smartphone via a wireless LAN. When connecting to a wireless LAN, the smartphone’s OS may display a screen asking for permission to connect to thenetwork. If this occurs, tap [OK].
* When the wireless connection mode of the camera is set to the CL mode, the camera cannot be connected via awireless LAN. Change the wireless connection mode to the AP mode. For how toswitch wireless connection modes, refer to click here.
5. Tap the frequency band to use.
6. When the message “Turn the camera’s wireless button from offto on to complete the change” appears, tap [OK].
