Update the THETA Firmware from the App
Update the THETA firmware from the RICOH360 App.
Download the latest firmware to your device, and then transfer and update it on your THETA
1. Tap THETA at the bottom of the screen
2. Select THETA you want to update from the list of Registered RICOH THETA
3. Turn on THETA
4. Tap “Camera Information” and then tap “Firmware Update”
5. Tap “Update” when the update screen appears, indicating that the THETA and smartphone have completed wireless LAN communication.
6. Confirm whether you want to perform the update.
Tap Update in the dialog box.
7. Once the Internet connection is confirmed, tap Download.
Please connect to the Internet to download the firmware file to your smartphone.
8. Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on both the camera and the smartphone, and transfer the download file to the THETA.
When the download file is transferred, the camera update will start automatically.
*Keep the camera turned on until the camera update is complete.
9. Tap the Done button.
10. Restart the camera.
The firmware update is now complete.
