Viewing Live Video on the Computer
You can display videos live on a computer by switching to the live streaming mode.
1. Connect the camera to the computer using the provided USB cable.
2. Tap the shooting mode button on the shooting screen of the camera to switch the shooting mode to (live streaming mode)

You can also switch the shooting mode by pressing the mode button on the side of the camera.
When [Auto switching to live streaming] is set to on, the shooting mode automatically switches to the live streaming mode.
3. Change the settings of white balance, exposure compensation, ISO sensitivity upper limit, top/bottom correction for shooting, and microphone gain as necessary.

4. Start an app that can play back live camera videos. (“Media Player Classic - Home Cinema” (MPC-HC) is used as an example in the following descriptions.)
5. Select [View] → [Options] in the “MPC-HC” menu.
6. Select [Capture] in [Playback] on the [Options] screen, and then select [THETA X] in [Video].
7. Select [External Filters] on the [Options] screen, and then click [Add Filter].
The [Select Filter] dialog box is displayed.
8. Select [Enhanced Video Renderer] (EVR), and then click [OK].
The display returns to the [Options] screen.
9. Select [Prefer] on the right side of the screen, and then click [OK].
The display returns to the playback screen.
10. Select [File] → [Open Device] in the “MPC-HC” menu.
- The live video is displayed on the computer.
- The shutter button is not used because the video is continually output.
- The LCD panel of the camera turns off.
Caution
- Howling may occur if the computer speakers are used. If howling occurs, turn the computer speakers off.
- You cannot operate the basic app for smartphone during the live streaming mode.
- If the temperature inside the camera rises, live streaming is forcibly stopped for safety.
Note
When the camera is connected to the computer with a USB cable, you can display videos live on the computer while supplying power to the camera. However, note that if the supplied power is low, a camera battery drain occurs, and the camera may turn off.
