Using the RICOH THETA PC app
You can transfer images from the Camera to your computer using the supplied USB cable. The transferred images can be viewed using the dedicated basic application for computers.
Please see below for the recommended computer environment.
Recommended Windows Operating Environment
Windows 10 64bit / Windows 11
- CPU: Intel Core i3 (8th generation) or higher
- Memory: 8GB or more
- Equipped with a GPU that supports OpenGL 4.5 or higher
- Video playback at 5.7K30fps and 4K60fps

- /USB port that can be used with the above-mentioned computer
Recommended operating environment for Mac
Mac OS 10.15~12
・CPU: Intel Core i3 (4th generation) or higher
・Memory: 2GB or more
・ Must be equipped with a GPU that supports OpenGL 4.1 or higher
・Video playback of 5.7K30fps and 4K60fps

Transferring images to your computer using the RICOH THETA PC app
Connect the Camera to your computer using the supplied USB cable

Importing images to your computer
- Windows
Follow the on-screen instructions. (Select “Open Device to View Files”.)
- Mac
Use the Photos app or Image Capture.
When the transfer is done, disconnect the USB cable
Viewing still images and videos on your computer
Using the basic app for computers, you can scroll, zoom in and out, and view spherical images on your computer.
Start the basic application for PCs
Select [File] > [Open] from the menu
Select the still image or video you want to display
- The still image you selected will be displayed.
- You can also open files by dragging and dropping them into the basic application for PCs window.
- The following operations can be performed on the display screen.

:Zoom in.

:Zoom out.

:The display area will return to its initial state.

:Auto rotation.

:Fullscreen display. Mouse operations: You can scroll through the images by dragging. You can zoom in and out using the mouse wheel. Keyboard operations: You can zoom in using PgUp. You can zoom out using PgDn. You can scroll using ←↑↓→.
You can display the fullscreen by selecting [View] → [Fullscreen]. To return from fullscreen, press Esc.
